Garages ‘not good stores’
USING garages as storage spaces is a bad idea due to their poor ventilation and yo-yoing temperature extremes, a study warns.
The Good Housekeeping Institute also said using them as utility rooms for washers and tumble dryers risks damage.
It said: “It’s difficult to control the temperature and moisture levels, which could mean things get damaged or degrade.”
The items to keep out include paint, wooden furniture and books.
