A WOMAN of 19 was kidnapped, stabbed to death and dumped inside a freezer in a suspected honour killing.

Detectives were last night quizzing two men aged 33 and 28 in connection with the death and the attempted murder of the victim’s 21-year-old cousin.

Police said the older suspect knew the dead woman. He was reportedly trying to flee the country when arrested in Kent.

The survivor banged frantically on neighbours’ doors before staggering to a hospital with a slashed throat and stab wounds.

She told doctors the pair were snatched in Merton, South London, and driven to a £1.2million property in nearby Kingston.

Neighbour Bernett Thrones, 39, said: “I could hear running on the gravel drive and then a loud knock.

“By the time I opened the door the person was gone. I heard them running away. It’s a horrible shock.”

Another resident added: “We’re told it was an honour killing.”

Police had launched a hunt for the women earlier after concerns were raised for their safety.

Investigating officer, Det Chief Insp Samantha Price, said: “Both women were subjected to a violent attack. I am keeping an open mind as to motive.”
