Taking steps to avoid dementia

Having helplessly witnessed both my mum and dad’s horrible, messy heartbreak­ing experience of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, this is the BEST news: according to 24 dementia experts, over a third of cases could be prevented by lifestyle changes.

It’s the old diet and exercise thing. But it works. Get out there, walk more, eat healthily, keep weight down, sleep well, reduce sugar intake, get treatment for depression (if you carry out all the above, that can help alleviate depression, as well as high blood pressure).
