‘Fancy date?’ juror is axed

A JUROR was discharged from the trial of an alleged terror cell for “jokingly” asking an usher if an officer in the case was single.

Mr Justice Globe said she was “not candid” about asking after the policeman.

He reminded Old Bailey jurors the officer faced criticism by the defence and said: “You’re going to have to consider his credibility.”

Naweed Ali, 29, Khobaib Hussain, 25, of Birmingham, and Mohibur Rahman, 32, and Tahir Aziz, 38, of Stoke, deny terror charges.
