Victory is Swede for Potter
ALVARO MORATA has been given the blessing of Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane after completing his Chelsea move.
Zidane told ESPN: “His decision was to go to another club, but I wish him all the best – unless he’s playing against us!” FORMER York City midfielder Graham Potter hailed one of his “greatest achievements”, after knocking Galatasaray out of the Europa League. Potter, now 42, was a journeyman player during his career in the English leagues, with York the club he represented most. But, since 2011, he has managed Swedish side Ostersund and, on Thursday, they got the better of the Turkish giants. They won the home leg of their second qualifying round tie 2-0 and drew 1-1 in Istanbul, to progress to a third-round meeting with Luxembourg outfit Fola Esch. “I am having difficulty expressing my feelings,” said Potter. “I am very happy. I can say this is one of the greatest achievements in my professional career. “The atmosphere in Turkey was very good and we were able to use the opportunity.” Potter has taken Ostersund from the fourth tier of the Swedish league to the top-flight, and won the Swedish Cup to qualify for the Europa League.
