SERGIO FEELS BUSHED

-

SERGIO GARCIA admits he feared he would have to withdraw, after embarrassingly injuring himself lashing out in anger.

The Masters champion finished up carding 69 in the second round yesterday, including an eagle on the fifth, to stand on two over.

But he was fuming on the fourth, where he made bogey, and lashed his club out in fury at a nearby gorse bush, injuring his shoulder (right).

Garcia, 37, who required physio on the course, said: “It felt really bad when I did it and I thought I was done. So I am happy it got better and I’m going to be here for the weekend.”
