Charles sent Blair notes on hunting ban
PRINCE Charles sent Tony Blair secret letters on the fox hunting ban before it came in, it has emerged.
Following a request by a newspaper, the Freedom of Information watchdog has ordered that the correspondence from the bloodsports fan be revealed.
The Cabinet Office had at first refused to say if it held any relevant files.
But Information Commissioner Elizabeth Denham confirmed letters exist and said the correspondence “raises legitimate questions about the role of the heir to the throne in a parliamentary democracy and the role he may play when he succeeds to the throne”.
Hunting with dogs has been banned in England and Wales since 2005.
