DRAMA

-

BBC1, 9pm It’s five months after the Polesford case, and Detective Helen Weeks (MyAnna Buring) is proudly patting a large baby bump.

But it’s actually all rather awkward because she still doesn’t know who the father is, and her partner Paul (Ben Batt) is trying – and failing – to be OK with that.

“Every time he looks at me it’s like I’ve got ‘whore’ written across my forehead,” says Helen, who just has to grovel constantly to make herself feel better.

But she soon has bigger fish to fry when she gets some news in the middle of the night. It’s never good to receive news in the middle of the night.

There has been a gangland shooting, which has devastating consequences.

Helen’s life is totally derailed – and, bearing in mind that she’s days away from giving birth, there’s more tension than an episode of One Born Every Minute.
