THAT’S A REAL BLOW, ERIC

- BY DAVID McDONNELL

ERIC BAILLY has been hit with a three-match ban following his red card in Manchester United’s Europa League semi-final.

Bailly (above) was dismissed for violent conduct in the second leg against Celta Vigo – and had to sit out the final win over Ajax.

The three-match suspension means Bailly misses the UEFA Super Cup clash with Real Madrid in Skopje on August 8.

Bailly’s ban was extended by UEFA because they deemed his actions “serious” in striking Facundo Roncaglia – who was also sent off – and having to be separated from him in the tunnel.
