I’ve had an issue with my best friend since our end of uni night out.

At the end of the evening, I went to check on my friend, whose room is across the hall, as she left early. The door to her room was slightly ajar, so I peeked in and saw her having a threesome on her bed with two lads. The thing is, she has a boyfriend back home, with whom I’m also really good friends.

Should he know and should I tell him? None of them noticed me peeking in that night, but I still feel in a really awkward situation. What would you do?

I’d have a heart to heart with your best friend first and explain that you feel in an awkward position. Hopefully, it’ll make her think about whether she ought to be in a relationship or not, as she’s behaving like a single person.

It’s a tricky one, as I’m sure if you were being cheated on, you’d like your friend to tell you.

Just be prepared that if you spill the beans, you could end up falling out with your friend and her boyfriend (the messenger usually ends up being shot!).

But make it clear to your friend that you don’t want to end up in the situation of covering for her and lying to her boyfriend on her behalf if she wants to see other guys – that’s not fair on you and is an abuse of your friendship.
