KORS IS A SOLE MATE FOR CHOO

US fashion label Michael Kors has tied up a £896million deal for shoe maker Jimmy Choo.

Kors chairman and chief executive John Idol said it was the “ideal partner” for Jimmy Choo, which was founded in London in 1996 and boasts big-name fans including Beyonce and the Duchess of Cambridge.

Idol said he would work with Choo chief executive Pierre Denis to increase the number of 150 stores, treble its annual sales to $1billion, grow its online arm, and make more men’s luxury shoes.

Jimmy Choo, which put itself up for sale in April following a strategic review, said it was ready to “embark on its next phase of growth”.
