This is the seventh series but it hasn’t lost its edge, or its ability to surprise. And the searches extend far and wide as Davina McCall and Nicky Campbell roam the world breaking good news – and sometimes bad.

But the story that will have you reaching for the Kleenex tonight is that of Marion and James. They were teenagers in love, but when Marion got pregnant their families were outraged. Despite trying to keep their son, they were forced to give him up for adoption when he was three months old.

The grieving couple went on to have two more children, and although now divorced, they are united in their determination to find their son.

“To give your own baby away, there aren’t words to describe how it feels,” says Marion. “We want to have him back in our family.”
