137 years & 100 Tests ...here are my magic memories of the Oval
THIS week the Kennington Oval hosts its 100th Test match, 137 years after the first when England played Australia in what were pre-Ashes days.
The ground has seen so many great games and great players on its huge field in South London it is hard to narrow them down. But as a man who has played in just over 10 per cent of the Tests at the venue, and is the ground’s highest ever wicket-taker, Mirror Sport’s Sir Ian Botham has picked out a few personal memorable moments.
