Klopp vow to spend Kop cash

-

JURGEN KLOPP has insisted Liverpool are not afraid to splash the cash this summer.

And the Reds will prove it by keeping up their pursuit of Virgil van Dijk (above), even if they have to pay a world-record fee for a defender to get the Southampton star.

Klopp (right) has so far failed to land his two biggest targets, Van Dijk and the RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita.

That has led to accusations that his transfer plans are all talk.

But word from Anfield is that the Reds are prepared to shell out £60million for Van Dijk, and were ready to go up to £70m for Keita until it was made clear Leipzig won’t sell for another year.

Klopp may instead turn to German international midfielder Leon Goretzka, who has only a year remaining on his Schalke contract.
