HUMPBACK WHALES
Humpbacks make the longest migration of any mammal and travel thousands of miles to reach their summer feeding grounds.
They need to eat 1.5 tonnes of food a day to make up for the four months of starvation on their epic journey and they exhibit a unique form of hunting seen only in Alaskan waters.
As Steve reveals, show bosses are hoping to screen the spectacle live from the icy waters around Juneau, in southern Alaska.
