Perry to enjoy Fringe benefits

Benidorm star Perry Benson has finished his fun in the sun and is heading to Edinburgh Fringe for August to star in a new Irvine Welsh play called Performers.

“I’m not in Benidorm again, they’re filming a series as we speak,” he says. “It was fun doing it but you move on.”

Once his play at the Assembly Ballroom is over in the Scottish capital, Perry will be on the screen bringing back the comedy Operation Good Guys.

The police mockumentary ran from 1997 to 2000. Perry says: “Recently we’ve done lots of new segments we are going to put on YouTube and now we have got funding for a feature film.”
