ITV, 9pm In this gritty documentary, firefighters who tackled the devastating Grenfell Tower blaze speak candidly about their terrifying experiences on that tragic night. When the disaster struck last month, these were the heroes of the London Fire Brigade who rushed to the front lines.

And in never heard before accounts of what happened inside the tower, firefighters describe how they feared the building might collapse, as well as the horror of what they saw.

Cameras have been following the Brigade over the last year – with firefighters even filming themselves – demonstrating the range of emergencies they deal with.

Aside from the Grenfell interviews, this first episode also follows crews as they are called to the Croydon tram crash, where seven passengers died, a big explosion which destroyed a block of flats in East London, and an incident on Westminster Bridge when a coach burst into flames.
