PLEASURE & GAIN FOR BLUES

-

CHELSEA boss Antonio Conte intends to give his team a new identity, once his revamp is complete. The Italian wants to sign at least three more players, after breaking up last season’s titlewinning squad. He believes it will enable him to satisfy the board’s demands for sexier football on a more consistent basis.

He said: “I want the people to recognise our team and identity, our idea of football.

“Last season, we showed a good identity and also the club asked me this, to give my team an identity – to be a pleasure to watch. This is very important to try, for sure, but if you are able to also win then it’s better, no?

“It’s wonderful if you are excited for the game. But also at the end you want to win.

“We want to do the same this season.”
