‘Budget’ Range Rover top of league for Premier players

AN SUV costing £30,700 is the most popular car among Premier League footballers, despite their £2.4million-ayear average salary.

The Range Rover Evoque is most likely to be owned by players for everyday use, although they could afford to buy one every four-anda-half days.

But it’s likely to be one of several cars, with many bought on finance to free up cash for property, shares and other investments. The second most popular drive was the £270,000 Lamborghini Aventador, said luxury car finance firm JBR Capital. It added supercars are still popular with footballers. Third was the £62,875 MercedesBenz Onyx G6 GLE Coupe, then a £150,500 Bentley Continental GT.
