Carl faces career KO

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

CARL FRAMPTON admits his boxing career could be over if he loses to Andres Gutierrez tomorrow.

He faces the Mexican at Belfast’s SSE Arena and the Ulsterman, 30, knows his future is on the line after losing his WBA Super featherweight title to Leo Santa Cruz in his last fight.

Frampton said: “It’s the most important fight of my career, to show people I’ve still got plenty left to give.

“I’m not thinking about losing, but where do I go if something like that happens? It’s potentially career-ending, so I want to go out and get the win.”

Luke Campbell will face Venezuelan Jorge Linares for the WBA, WBC Diamond and Ring magazine lightweight belts at the LA Forum on September 23.

The Hull fighter, 29, said: “I’m confident I’m going to leave with all three belts.”
