To the woman who has fallen for her late friend’s hubby, please be careful (Dear Coleen, July 25). I got together with my (now ex) boyfriend five months after his partner passed away and his family and friends reacted very badly. They were still grieving and just couldn’t accept he had moved on. As it turned out, though, he hadn’t moved on or dealt properly with his partner’s death and the pressure split us up, leaving me heartbroken. I’ve since moved on with a new partner and so has he but, who knows, perhaps it would have worked if he hadn’t rushed into things so soon after losing his partner. Cath, via email
