Milk powder bomb at jail

A BOMB made from tea and coffee whitener “erupted” at a packed jail.

The powder, highly explosive when ground, was taken from the canteen at Cardiff Prison.

Plaid Cymru’s Bethan Jenkins said it was not terror related but could have led to a prisoner takeover at the jail, which holds around 800 lags.

The Ministry of Justice said no prisoners or staff were hurt. One inmate is still under investigation.
