Cats are not planning to let Dutch keeper Robbin fly away

SUNDERLAND want keeper Robbin Ruiter after he impressed on trial.

The Dutchman, 30, is a free agent after leaving Utrecht in his homeland.

The Black Cats signed Jason Steele in a £500,000 deal from Blackburn Rovers earlier this week and manager Simon Grayson (above) wants the pair to fight it out for the No.1 jersey at the Stadium of Light.

Grayson said: “Robbin has come in to the club and done very well so we will see if there’s a deal to be done.”
