IS wife’s life with British jihadi brides
THE wife of an Islamic State fighter has told how there were so many young British jihadi brides in Syria she dubbed it “Little Britain.”
Three years ago Islam Mitat’s British husband Ahmed moved her to Syria against her will.
Mitat, now 23, lived with Zhara and Salma Halane, the “terror twins” from Manchester, as well as three schoolgirls from Bethnal Green, East London, and other jihadist brides. She said they loved reading about themselves online.
“They looked so happy about it. I was so shocked,” she said.
Wanted terrorist Sally Jones, from Kent – dubbed the White Widow – used to pop in for tea.
Islam’s husband was killed in 2014 and she later fled Raqqa. She is now living in a safe house.
