MoT failures.. for sake of £5

MOST MoT failures are from simple electrical faults owners could have fixed for £5, says a survey.

Warranty Direct said nearly 20% of claims from policyholders related to lights being on the blink.

Next came suspension problems and brake faults.

It said cars most hit by electrical problems were Renault, Seat and Bentley.

The firm added: “Many electrical faults could be avoided by carrying out maintenance more regularly between MoTs.”
