BBC1, 9.15am Once again, beardy Ben Fogle and smiley Kate Humble are heading back to Longleat Safari Park to bring us all the best action from Britain’s wildest country house during the busiest time of year.

And this first episode is something of a baby boom as the pair meet some of the hundred or so new arrivals at the park this season.

In the monkey jungle, there are 15 new babies and one of the males has turned into daddy daycare to help look after a little one.

Over in the giraffe house, baby Evan is having his first-ever encounter with another species as the keepers move the herd to their summer paddock and introduce them to zebras and gnus.

And in the reindeer enclosure, the keepers are thrilled to welcome two new arrivals in two days, but are soon worried when they realise the second baby is struggling to feed and very weak.

They must decide how and when to intervene.
