The midfielder insisted he cared about the club and wanted to play well, but suggested some of his teammates did not and appeared to point the finger at Lamine Kone, Jeremain Lens (above) and Wahbi Khazri.
Gibson (below in the pub), whose outburst was filmed, said: “We’re s***. Of course I’m bothered, I don’t want to be s***. There are too many people at the club who don’t give a f***. You tell me who doesn’t want to be at the club?”
When Kone was mentioned, Gibson replied: “Right, there’s one.” The names of Lens and Khazri also crop up, to which Gibson said both times: “Next one.”
A supporter told Gibson: “You’re off you’re f ****** face in here.” He replied: “Right. I might be off my face in here but I still want to play for Sunderland. The rest of them f***ing don’t though.”
Told a fan thought he had made no effort against Celtic he said: “Get him here now. I’ll punch his f ****** head in.”
