My pal Brucie’s still frail
But Strictly icon ‘is on good form’
SIR Bruce Forsyth remains “frail” as fears grow that he may never perform again.
Jimmy Tarbuck, a close pal of the TV entertaining legend, says the 89-year-old, left, is battling hard to beat a life-threatening condition.
Tarby, 77, told an audience in Blackpool at the weekend: “He’s OK but he’s a bit frail. He’s had an aneurysm. It’s very serious. I saw him a week ago and he is on good form.”
Former Strictly Come Dancing host Brucie has not been out in public for 19 months. He had a fall at his Surrey home in October 2015 and tests showed two aneurysms – swellings of main blood vessels – which if ruptured would have proved fatal.
His wife Wilnelia, 59, confirmed he has “problems moving” after surgery.
A source close to the veteran entertainer said: “It has been a long road to recovery after the fall and operations, and we don’t know where or when the journey ends.
“He is not at the point of resuming public life and he may never do that.”
