Remote car yob is jailed

A THUG has been jailed after aiming his remote controlled car at a brideto-be, leaving her on crutches for her wedding.

Ricky Fitzgerald, 40, was “intimidating” an exercise class in St John’s Park in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.

The car hit Emily Patel, 22, at 30mph and broke her leg last August, three weeks before her big day, Portsmouth crown court heard.

The beautician’s wedding was “almost ruined”.

Fitzgerald, who admitted grievous bodily harm, was given two years.
