Machete yob convicted of killing guard
A THUG has been found guilty of killing a former minder to the stars.
An Old Bailey jury heard Ricky Hayden had faced up to Tommy Roome and Tarrell Hinds outside his home believing they were about to steal a scooter.
Roome and Hinds, on a moped and with machetes, were looking for another man. In the confrontation, Mr Hayden, 27, was slashed and later died.
Hinds was cleared of involvement in the killing, in Romford, East London, on September 13, 2016.
Roome, of Chadwell Heath, was found guilty of manslaughter. The pair, then 19, were cleared of the attempted murder of the victim’s father. Mr Hayden had guarded celebs including footballer Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy.
