Ron backs Phil switch

BRAZIL legend Ronaldinho believes Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho could replace Neymar at Barcelona.

Ronaldinho, who won the world player of the year award at the Nou Camp, said: “There are very few players who can replace Neymar – and Coutinho could play for them.

“He is at a level where he could come and fill the gap left by Neymar – but Liverpool will know his worth.”

Ronaldinho, a World Cup winner in 2002, switched from Paris Saint-Germain to Barcelona in 2003 and says Neymar sought his advice before moving to PSG.

He said: “I just told him to follow his heart.”
