Moped gang’s ‘£1m mobile phone terror’
A MOPED gang armed with hammers, knives and a gun stole phones and tablets worth £1million in 17 raids on Three Mobile stores, a court heard.
The men allegedly smashed their way in with battering rams and terrorised security guards.
Bobby Kennedy, 22, and Chris Costi, 19, deny being part of the gang.
Three other young men had earlier admitted their part in the London raids, the jury heard.
Blackfriars crown court saw dramatic police helicopter footage of four of the gang on two mopeds being chased for 10 miles.
Costi, of Hackney, East London, and Kennedy, of no fixed address, deny conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary and rob. The trial continues.
