CAMPBELL ROARS BACK

-

FRAIZER CAMPBELL has gone back to the future and hopes to fire Hull into the Premier League again – just as he did nine years ago.

The Tigers won promotion to the top flight for the first time in 2008 thanks largely to Campbell’s haul of 15 goals.

He was on loan from Manchester United and City fans were willing him to stay to spearhead their Premier League campaign.

But Campbell decided to return to Old Trafford and fight for a first-team place. That did not come off and he went to Tottenham before spells with Sunderland, Cardiff and Crystal Palace.

Now, at 29, he is back at Hull. He said: ”I had a great season here first time around and enjoyed some of the happiest days of my career at this football club.

“I can’t tell you how delighted I am to be a Tiger again and, hopefully, it can go the same way as the last time with us winning promotion to the Premier League.”
