MAC BACK WITH PAL GRAYSON

-

ASTON VILLA striker Ross McCormack is set to join Sunderland on a season’s loan. Talks to agree what percentage of McCormack’s wages both clubs pay are near to completion, and Sunderland have made space for the Scot, 30, after offloading Jeremain Lens to Besiktas. McCormack (left) is keen to play again for Black Cats boss Simon Grayson having worked with him at Leeds. Grayson said: “We’re shopping at a different level to a lot of other clubs. We’re not in a position to spend five, 10, 15 million on players.” Villa paid £12million for McCormack from Fulham last summer, but he only scored three times before being shipped out to Nottingham Forest on loan.
