Diners targeted as anarchists hit Majorca tourists

BRITONS on holiday in Europe are being targeted by anarchists.

Footage has emerged of holidaymakers in Majorca being swept up in angry antitourism demonstrations.

Spanish radicals carrying flare guns and yelling “go home” left diners at a restaurant in Palma marina cowering in fear.

The attack was condemned by Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy, who intervened after the anti-tourist anger turned physical. He described the activists as “extremists going against common sense”.

The campaign group behind the attack, Arran Paisos Catalans, have carried out similar protests throughout Spain, in Barcelona, Valencia, and the Balearic Islands, over the past two weeks.
