TAYLOR STILL EL OF A LOSS
SIR ELTON JOHN said the death of Watford’s legendary manager Graham Taylor was like “having an arm cut off”.
Taylor’s widow Rita and their two daughters were among a near-10,000 crowd for Saturday’s goalless draw with Real Sociedad which was held in memory of the former England boss who died in January aged 72.
And in a tribute to Taylor (above), the pop star and his ex-chairman Sir Elton – now the Hornets’ life president – said: “He was an inspiration to me. He taught us to be humble, hard-working and honest, which had an enormous impact on my life.
“I will miss him so much. It’s like having an arm cut off. I loved him, I still love him and what he’s done for this club can never be repaid.”
