POCH PLANS TRIPPED UP

TOTTENHAM are sweating on the fitness of Kieran Trippier after he injured his right leg.

Trippier (above) has been earmarked to take over at right-back after Kyle Walker’s £50million move to Manchester City.

But on Saturday boss Mauricio Pochettino saw Trippier leave Wembley on crutches after the 2-0 win over Juventus.

Ahead of Spurs’ Premier League opener on Sunday, Pochettino said: “We hope it is not a big issue. I cannot say if he will be ready for Newcastle.”
