ADAM CLAYTON said the pressure won’t get to Middlesbrough after their big spending. Owner Steve Gibson wants to “smash” the Championship with an instant return to the Premier League as title winners. He’s paid out £40million to make it happen – but it was a limp start by Middlesbrough at Molineux. Clayton was part of the Boro team promoted 15 months ago and says that experience will get them straight back up. “We were favourites the year we went up so the pressure this time is no different,” said Clayton. “We have the bottle and guile to get through it. These early stages are a bit of sparring and it’s when you get past Christmas you get the big stuff. “That’s when you get over the line and we have done that before. We know what to do.”
