SLUTSKY: TIGERS ARE STILL A DRAW

- BY JAMES NURSEY

NEW Hull boss Leonid Slutsky insists the Tigers’ opening-day display can stop their player exodus and attract new talent.

Relegated Hull have seen Harry Maguire, Andrew Robertson, Eldin Jakupovic, Tom Huddlestone, Curtis Davies and Ahmed Elmohamady all quit this summer.

Slutsky (right) said: “We have had a very difficult pre-season, when one player seemed to be going out every day. Now, we have stability. It is very important the team believes in me and I believe in them.

“Maybe new players will have watched this game and have thought, ‘Hull is a good team, I want to join them’.

“I hope to have signings by next weekend. Loan options from the Premier League will be possible soon.”
