CHARLTON 1 BRISTOL ROVERS 0 Bauer 38

-

PATRICK BAUER revealed Charlton had to dig deep into the memory bank to bounce back from Lee Novak’s seventh-minute red card.

Bauer, who clinched the points with a first-half header, said: “Plan A was out of the window very early. From last season, we collected experience against Bolton by winning with 10 men. We knew how to handle it and we did well.”

Rovers’ Tom Broadbent said: “We should’ve done much better considering we had the extra man.”
