Corbyn pledge to help GPs
JEREMY Corbyn chats with practice nurse Shaheena Saeed at the start of a three-week UK tour.
The Labour leader was listening to the issues facing Somerset Family Health Practice in Southall, London.
He has promised investment to ease the strain on family doctors after Labour analysis showed a 10% fall in the number of patients who were able to see their preferred GP.
The visit came with Mr Corbyn under pressure over the crisis in Venezuela. He has repeatedly praised the South American country and now refuses to condemn Socialist President Nicolas Maduro, despite 100 people dying in recent clashes.
