Screams of girl, 12, in arena bombing wrecked her voice
A GIRL screamed so much at the Manchester bombing she damaged her vocal cords and needs speech therapy.
Amelia Mae Thompson, 12, escaped unhurt but has been deeply traumatised, said mum Lisa Newton.
Lisa, 41, was with Amelia at the Ariana Grande arena gig in May when Salman Abedi killed 22.
The mum, from Sheffield, said: “Amelia has been really strug- gling. For days she barely spoke. It wasn’t until the One Love concert she finally began to open up. “She started talking in her sleep, she’s lost loads of weight and just wants to be isolated. Going out has become really difficult, she doesn’t feel safe. “She’s now terrified of loud noises – when a balloon popped at her dance show she went into hysterics.” Amelia is having counselling as well as the speech therapy.
