Drivers shun phone-pay
MOST drivers avoid payby-phone parking spaces, an AA survey has found.
Seven out of 10 motorists keep hunting for a space rather than try to pay by using a mobile app.
The AA said making it harder to pay for parking was a snag that “struggling high streets cannot afford”.
Spokesman Jack Cousens said: “Not everyone has a smartphone.” He added such schemes were “almost discriminatory” against older and poorer drivers.
