LOVE YOUR GARDEN

-

Little Isabelle Cooper has an extremely rare degenerative eye disease, meaning she will one day go completely blind.

Your heart will go out to the gorgeous four-year-old, who bounds happily around indoors watched over by doting parents Martin and Milena.

But the outdoors remains a greater challenge.

And it’s a real shame the garden is off limits, because it’s the one place she could safely learn about the sights and smells of nature.

Fortunately it’s Alan Titchmarsh and his team to the rescue, as they head to Hythe in Hampshire to create a sensory garden for Isabelle.

Her family back garden is an uninspiring rectangle of lumpy lawn, surrounded by uneven and slippery paving. So the Love Your Garden team transform the bland plot into a safe family haven full of challenging fun for Isabelle, as well as gorgeous plants and flowers that smell, sound, feel and even taste great.

It’s always a thrill to see the before and after of a project.

But in this case, Isabelle’s reaction will be the moment you’re holding out for.
