Inter take over from Roma in bid for Mahrez

-

INTER MILAN have joined the race for Riyad Mahrez – as Roma all but ended their interest in the Leicester ace.

Roma made several bids – the most recent thought to be £32million – but were rejected, with the Foxes believed to want £50m.

That has not put off Italian side Inter, whose director of football Walter Sabatini is said to have made contact over a move. Roma’s sporting director Monchi said: “Until now we haven’t received any positive feedback over Mahrez (above) and we’re looking for other players.”

Leicester’s own hopes of signing West Brom’s captain Jonny Evans have been dealt a blow after he said he is happy at Albion, despite two Foxes bids.
