WE’RE COMING TO GET COU

Barca head for meeting with Kop star’s agents

BARCELONA want to sign Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho by the end of the week.

The Spanish giants are sending a three-man delegation to London to negotiate a £100million move to the Nou Camp.

Liverpool continue to insist the player is not for sale and that

he remains committed to the Kop cause.

But Nou Camp trio, Oscar Grau, Raul Sanllehi and Javier Bordas, will be sent to the UK under orders to secure Coutinho’s signature, in time for him to play in Spain’s Super Cup final on Sunday against arch-rivals Real Madrid.

Barca, awash with cash following the £199m sale of Neymar to Paris SaintGermain, are determined to strike a deal.

It is claimed in Spain Coutinho has told Klopp and the Liverpool hierarchy of his desire to leave, although the 25-year-old does not want an acrimonious exit after fourand-a-half years at Anfield.

He has scored 34 goals and provided 29 assists for the Reds since joining in January 2013, with Barca desperate to fill the creative void left by the departure of Neymar.

Coutinho’s departure is the last thing German boss Klopp needs after being frustrated in the transfer window so far this summer.

Defender Andy Robertson, from Hull, Chelsea’s young striker Dominic Solanke, and £34m Mohamed Salah, from Roma, have been the Reds’ only signings.
