CAROLANN GALLON Trafficking girls for sexual exploitation BADRUL HUSSAIN Convicted of supplying drugs YOUNG girls in the sex ring were passed around men “in relay” to be abused, a court heard.
Twenty “vulnerable” teenage girls and young women gave evidence against them in court.
Seventeen men and one woman were found guilty of offences linked to the exploitation at sex and drug parties from 2011 to 2014.
The gang had contempt for white women. They viewed them as “trash” who were “good for just one thing,” the jury at Newcastle crown court was told.
John Elvidge, prosecuting, said: “These young women were tricked into believing they were in the company of friends. They were groomed and lulled into trusting those who would abuse them. They were sexually exploited. They were easy targets.”
Badrul Hussain, 47, who supplied drugs, told a Newcastle Metro inspector: “All white women are only good for one thing, for men like me to f*** and use as trash, that is all women like you are worth.”
Mr Elvidge said the gang “demonstrated.. contempt for women. He regarded these girls as commodities, like drugs, to be used.” Ringleader Habibur Rahim, 34, known as “Sham”, was found guilty of rape and inciting eight girls to prostitution.
Abdul Sabe, 41, was found guilty of cannabis offences and conspiracy to incite prostitution.
Mohibur “Jimmy” Rahman, 44, admitted supplying drugs, allowing premises to be used for supplying drugs and conspiracy to incite prostitution for gain.
The gang, many family men, used excuses to attend all-night parties. Saiful Islam told his wife he was going night fishing before he picked up a drunk 15-year-old and raped her. Another 15-year-old was introduced to the abusers by gang member Mohammed Hassan Ali,
A girl raped by three different men was left addicted to M-Kat after being groomed as a naive schoolgirl. Just 16, she kept quiet about the abuse, desperate to feed her addiction at the parties.
Now 23, she told how she was plied with booze and cocaine before having sex with Mohammed Azram, 35, who was convicted of sexual assault, supplying M-Kat and inciting prostitution.
She described a visit to one flat in Newcastle saying: “There was another girl in the bedroom. The men were treating her like a slave. I was given M-Kat, He called it God.”
Female gang member Carolann Gallon, 22, pleaded guilty to charges of supplying girls for sex at parties. She will be sentenced alongside the men next month.
Four of the gang have been sentenced. Saiful Islam, 34, was jailed for 10 years; Redwan Siddique, 32, got 16 months for inciting prostitution and drugs offences; Yasser Hussain, 27, was jailed for two years for beating and possession of drugs; and Mohammed Hassan Ali, 33, got seven years for sex with a child and supplying drugs to a victim.
