Tiger’s court deal to avoid jail sentence
TIGER Woods is expected to avoid prison with a plea deal after his arrest for drink or drug-driving.
The golfer will do a course for offenders, if the deal is accepted by a judge.
Woods, 41, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence at a court in Palm Beach, Florida, but accepted a lesser charge of reckless endangerment.
Police found him slumped at the wheel of his badly parked Mercedes in May. He said he had a reaction to prescription medicine for back pain.
Under the plea deal, still subject to court approval in October, Woods will receive a year’s probation and must do 50 hours of community service. He will also have to submit to random drug tests.
