ANDRE GRAY completed his record £18million move to Watford – and the first to applaud his arrival was club captain Troy Deeney.

The Hornets are believed to be paying Burnley £11.5m up front with the rest in add-ons, and fellow striker Deeney immediately sprang into life on social media to voice his approval.

He tweeted four handclap emojis and added: “Welcome on board broski AndreGray7.”

Watford have now spent £47.8m on five new signings this summer and boss Marco Silva now wants Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs or Middlesbrough’s George Friend.
