Grenfell fire kids treated over trauma

-

ONE hundred children have been referred for support to deal with the emotional scars of the Grenfell Tower blaze.

Around 600 people who lived in or near the block, including 100 youngsters, have been referred to NHS mental health services.

The toll was uncovered after medics knocked on 2,200 doors in the area to see if people needed help .

The Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust said referrals were also made via GPs and calls to a hotline.

The figures came after residents said at a public meeting on Wednesday the blackened shell of the tower was causing distress.
